Dear friends,Prophecying to people sometimes makes eyebrows to be raised. Prophetic people are often misunderstood, misinterpreted and mistreated. It is a comfort to read about the lives of prophets in the bible. God never asked me to marry someone with a bad reputation, He never asked me to give my children names as Lo-Ruchamma or Lo-Ammi and, He never asked me to cook my dinner on dried dung or stay tied up for even one day. He just lets me paint, enjoy the colors and try different shapes. Sometimes I wonder what I paint, is it really prophetic? Is God really talking through me? Well I just had the chance to find out last week.
I attended a prophetic conference in which we got the chance to be trained into higher levels of prophecying. Until now I would be so happy to get a vision and be able to paint it. We were taught to ask the Lord for more details and indeed there came the details. I did not know the woman over whom I prophecied. I asked the Lord to reveal three areas in her life in which the Lord would want to do something. He told me three things: motherhood, worship and work. I mentioned to the woman there were these three areas the Lord wanted to do something. I started to speak about motherhood. The Lord did not mean her motherhood unto her children, but her relationship with her own mother. The Lord showed me this relationship was broken and He wanted to heal it.
The second area was worship. As I mentioned worship I saw a crucifix with a bronze Jesus on it. I asked her if she had a Catholic background, as she confirmed this The Lord showed me He wanted to cleanse her of certain wrong things that came through her Catholic background and still had an influence on her life till this day. After this she would be ready to participate in a worship team. I saw her singing and I saw the word 'instrument'.
Then we came to the third area: work. As I mentioned this I saw her in a nurses dress walking in a long corridor behind an empty wheelchair. I asked her if she worked in healthcare. She did! I told her I saw her walking in a nurses dress and pushing the empty wheelchair. The Lord told me she was praying for people and they were being healed. He also told me she had to take care because her superiors did not like her praying with patients.
I never before had dared to prophecy this specifically. But once I did the Lord really stepped in. When I finished prophecying the woman told me she lived with her grandmother in her childhood and was not raised by her own mother. She went to visit her mother last year to catch up relationship but it didn't work out. She planned to visit her mother again this year in Colombia. About worship she told me she indeed had a Catholic background before she became a charismatic christian, she had had a deep wish to participate in a worship team for a long time. About her work she told me she worked in a home for elderly people. She did pray with them and her superiors did not approve that she prayed for her patients and she would continue to pray for them and would take care with regard to her superiors.
We both stood there in amazement for the greatness of the Lord! Isn't this great! The Lord is so good! He knows all about us, He knows what we are struggling with and He knows about maltreatment, He knows prophetic people are a bit different than others! He is so good to give us answers on our questions! He has special plans with prophetic people and definitely with prophetic artists! Keep up the painting!

Exodus 31:1-7
See, I have called by name Bezaleel, ..., and I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship....and in the hearts of all that are wisehearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee.
