God is beautiful, He is splendid, He is shining, bright, tough, soft, sweet, nice, fierce, great, caring, loving.....! And so are you. Why? Because you are made in His image ! You always thought you are not creative? It's not so. You are made in His image...He is creative...so are you! Look around at creation. Beautiful, colourful coral reefs, tough dry deserts, fragile wings of a butterfly, humid green rainforests, freezing cold pools, sparkling water hat changes shape any moment...God is creative and so are you because you are made in His image. Creativity was being put into you from the beginning. Now we can start digging it up.

Enhance your creativity 1

Primary image elements are the parts of which a painting consists. These primary image elements are: line, shape, size, texture, colour, tone. All these or some of these elements can be found in every painting or work of art. A good basic knowledge of the elements and their application helps to make a good work that is vivid and beautiful. This knowledge, and application can only be experienced by experimenting, playing, searching for new ways, trying the same thing with different materials, different backgrounds. Find out what is possible. It is not a matter of reading this text, it is a matter of finding out yourself by doing. The Holy Spirit will bless us and wants to work together with us. He will do the job if you will too.

Exercise So here comes an excercise: take your scrapbook and divide the page in 6 squares by drawing lines. Take your pencil and start filling up every square with 6 different varieties of lines. Make up your own lines. Dig up your creativity from your own source!

Exercise The same exercise can be done with the other primary image elements. Take your time to study them.
